Hear What Others Say About the Summit…
The IMES was a great learning opportunity for someone who is not able to attend the big conferences around the United States due to remote location and extreme cost of travel. I definitely learned a lot from the variety of presenters. Thanks for making professional development easy and affordable to attend.
– Ron Gruber, Band and Choir Teacher from Montana
This Summit surpassed all my expectations! The 2018 International Music Educational Summit provided me with the tools, resources and approaches necessary to teach Advance Music students as well as those hard to reach!
– Rachel Jenkins, General Music Teacher from Florida
As a veteran teacher, I struggle to find relevant and meaningful professional development. This summer I have to renew my license and needed some additional hours, but wasn’t finding much that interested me. Someone mentioned the IMES in one of my Facebook groups and I decided to check it out. The premise was intriguing, the sessions looked interesting, and the price was right! I gave it a try and found engaging clinicians and pertinent topics–I was hooked. I will absolutely be back next summer for the 2nd annual IMES! Thank you for providing an opportunity for music teachers from all over the world to connect and learn together.
– Beth Polan, 9-12 High School Vocal Teacher from Ohio
IMES was a wonderfully convenient and effective professional development opportunity. Great presenters, excellent ideas and resources, and certainly worth the money.
– Benjamin Swanson, K-7 General Music Teacher from Virginia and the only music teacher in his school

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I receive PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDIT for attending?
Yes! Participants may apply to receive a PD certificate for each session they register for.
[Select Individual state credit approvals are pending and will be in place for our 2020 event]
How many hours of Professional Development credit can I earn?
With more than 65 sessions available for you to access, you can earn nearly 100 hours…1.5 hours per session.
Because we can track who attends which session, we can provide you with the exact number of hours that you ‘attend’. Just RSVP for every session you like, and apply for your certificate!
How much is the registration fee?
That’s ‘full price’, and costs less than a SINGLE DAY at most state and national conferences. Register early to invest even less.
You can’t beat this value for 3-days of peer reviewed professional development sessions you can attend from home…in your sweatpants….
Do I need any special equipment to attend the sessions?
All you need is a computer, tablet, or phone that is connected to the internet.
Sessions will be presented via a webinar provider which may require a program download…which is totally FREE.
How do I access The Music Educator's Lounge to network with other attendees?
Once your registration is complete and your fee paid you’ll be sent a link inviting you to join the closed Facebook group.
Even if you don’t have a Facebook account you will be able to chat with your session presenters and see who else is in the same session with you.
But we recommend using a Facebook account to join the group. We’ll also be putting archived video links, downloads, and attendee-only access deals in the group, so it’s worth it!
[If you’re not on Facebook but want to join and don’t have any ‘friends’, you can send a request to IMES Director, Elisa Janson and she’ll help get you all connected. CLICK HERE to view her personal profile page.]
I have a schedule conflict and won't be able to attend live. Are there other options?
Yes! Once you have registered and paid the fee you will still have access to all of the sessions. Just select which one(s) you want to access and you’ll get sent all of the notifications for that session …including a link to the session REPLAY.
You’ll be able to access replays of every session, whether you virtually attended them or not.
This is also good news if there are two sessions happening at the same time and you want to attend both. No worries! You’ll be able to access the replay for the session you missed.

Step 3: Attend
For each session you select you’ll receive email details, including login information. Just use this login info to join the online session at the appropriate time.

Step 5: Follow Up
For sessions you want to attend live but are unable to, you will be given access to the archived video so you still get the great information from each presenter.
You’ll also be able to apply for a Professional Development completion certificate you can use for credit in your school or district. For each session you ‘attend’ you will receive 2 hours of credit.
